The Library Media Center provides an engaging learning environment for the students of Glenfield School. We wish to establish the foundation for life-long learning and to empower students to be active participants in an information rich society. The Library Media Center serves as a gateway to the world of information beyond the walls of the school. Use this page to access our subscription databases.

What are databases? Databases are paid subscriptions to on-line periodicals, journals, and books. All information gathered for databases is pre-selected, appropriate, and timely. College-bound students should develop database searching skills as they will be required for college research.

Why use databases? ANYONE can publish information on the Internet. It doesn't matter if they are an expert on the subject or not. Results from a search engine can provide information from unreliable sources. Choose a database where results have already been evaluated by an expert.
