Model Congress Brings Home Awards

 Home Awards Montclair High School’s Model Congress Team competed at the University of Pennsylvania Model Congress conference where they went up against over 700 students from schools all over the United States. They spent four days in debate, simulating the American Congress. The Model Congress students wrote bills and debated them working towards their passage in a small committee setting and a large congressional setting.

“We are so proud of our team who, led by team President Leila Alidoost, brought home an unbelievable 23 awards,” shared advisors Billy Wingren and Tom Manos. “Our team, which consists of 9-12th graders, won a litany of awards in the committee sessions, full sessions and even special advanced committees.”
